My Top 5 Favorite Podcasts

I love listening to a good podcast. As an apologist, I have this insatiable thirst to learn about the faith. Here are 5 of my favorite podcasts (in no particular order). If you want to learn more about your Catholic Faith and want to defend that faith more effectively – pull up iTunes right after reading this blog, download and enjoy!

1. Catholic Answers Live

Now you might be thinking to yourself, “the dude works at Catholic Answers, he has to say that!” You would be right. In fact, as soon as I’m done writing this blog Patrick Coffin (the host) has agreed to give me $14 and a foot rub. Honestly though, Catholic Answers Live is, in my fallible opinion, the greatest show on Catholic Radio. It’s a call in show where you, the listener, get to ask your question about the Catholic Faith. Each day Patrick interviews some of the most trusted and knowledgeable people in the Church today. Check it out!

2. Peter Kreeft

Dr. Peter Kreeft has been referred to as the modern day C.S. Lewis. He’s the professor of philosophy at Boston College and has written 5 million books (or thereabouts). His podcast contains his full length talks on everything from predestination to existence of God, from the morality of abortion to spiritual warfare. A Great speaker! H

3. Jimmy Akin

Jimmy is the senior apologist here at Catholic Answers. I’m not sure if I’ve ever met someone as brilliant as this guy. He remembers almost everything he’s ever read and he’s read almost everything. Check out his website and then download his podcast!

4. Sunday Sunday Sunday

Here’s a podcast run by my friend Mark Hart, the vice-president of Lifeteen. Mark reads and ruminates on the upcoming Mass readings for each Sunday. He’s funny, holy and intelligent – a good combination. This is a great podcast for anyone looking to get more out of Sunday Mass.

5. Reasonable Faith

William Lane Craig is the man behind Reasonable Faith. He’s a Protestant Philosopher and Theologian –that’s right, two doctorates.– This man is the greatest theistic apologist of our time.
